Bagotville Air Defense Museum

We toured an Air Force Base (in french, so not totally sure what all we saw) and saw (and mostly heard) CF18 Fighter Jets taking off today. Very loud. I think they said it takes 8 seconds for a jet at full afterburners to go from Chicoutimi to Montreal. But the guide could also have answered Oui, to another question instead of saying  Huit. Alas, my french needs more work. 

We also went to a great Air Force Museum and Virtual Reality Experience where Brendan got to "fly" a jet from a full CF18 cockpit. Th instructor was very surprised when he landed it smoothly on his first attempt- he said 4 out of 5 people crash. This makes me feel like his 1000s of hours playing flight simulators must have paid off. At this point in the trip I think Harrison is solidly sold on a sailors life, and we may lose Brendan to the Air Force. Heidi may have to investigate the army just to feel like she's part of the gang (:
