What a couple of days! This is what happens when we don't go away on the weekends...
At long last, after 11 years of talking about it, we knocked out the kitchen wall on Saturday! And no, the house hasn't fallen down!
Brendan was not so sure about the home improvements, and the first photo with Harrison was taken the moment he wandered upstairs. All he kept repeating was Wall back? Wall back? He was very helpful though, as the photos show.
We're thrilled with the new open concept, but it will take some getting used to. Next project - replacing the rotten patio door and building a kitchen island. Or as my anti open concept father suggests "we could keep going and just knock out the wall straight into the bathroom". Lots of possibilities!!
