Trenton - truly a great city!

We have had a wonderful March Break - keeping things low key and close to home, but we spent a really, really fun overnight at the Ramada just down the road in in Trenton - just to do something exotic - and spent hours in the pool, explored every nook and cranny of the hotel hallways and marvelled at the jet mounted outside. We hit a model train show - it's so nice that all the kids are into trains now, and Brendan has even rediscovered the joy of Thomas the Tank Engine! We took Brendan skiing again one more time and the twins watched Cars in the chalet with me. The rest of the time was spent playing at home with Brendans new Hershey branded train and getting ready for a wonderful visit with my family. My niece Rowan introduced Brendan to the obsession of Rainbow Loom, and I can safely announce we have an elastic bracelet for ANYONE who might want one....

Happy march break. I am declaring next Tuesday the start of spring. Everyone keep your fingers crossed!!

The land of the living

Heidi and I are slowly recuperating from a week long flu that quite literally knocked the snot out of us (especially Heidi, our couch seems to have borne the brunt of that burden, yuck). But we are feeling better, and are hoping the boys don't all catch it just in time for March Break. No big getaway plans for the week off school - I'm saving up my vacation for our long haul to Utah in the spring - but Brendan is picking up a new remote control train tomorrow, so that should pretty much hold him for a week!

The photos - Heidi put herself down for naps and bed each day for a week, had company while we dog sat, but finally sat up at the table to eat a meal with dad tonight!
