Brendan is just heading out. Twins are dressed but asleep! Hopefully we get a picture when Brendan gets back.

Halloween party!
I want to just post the picture with no explanation, but rob won't let me. He is our neighbor Roz, and a pretty good likeness!

Sneak peak at Halloween
We'll see if you can guess costumes from these pics. Brendan had a little Halloween party at school today so we sent him off on the bus in costume today. He'd already lost his hat by the time we saw him at 10! Neat to see him interacting with his classmates especially the ones he talks about all the time.
We are hosting a Halloween party for the neighborhood this Saturday (easier than toting all the gear to someone else's house). I'll be sure to post pictures of that. Warning ; rob's costume may be a little unappealing to some - you've been warned!

Together time
The twins still don't seem to appreciate spending to time together. I guess you just can't force some things! We try to put them on their sides facing each other and they just turn their heads to look up at the ceiling instead. Oh well!

October Weigh In

Doting big brother
Brendan loves holding "2 babies " as he refers to them. He also loves giving them wet slobbery kisses on the head. Yuck!
Waking up
My twins are waking up! Suddenly, at the ripe old age of 2 months both of my babies have suddenly started spending a lot more of the day awake and playing!

2 month photo
Happy Thanksgiving! Just back from a great weekend with the Coles with lots of boardgames hikes and Turkey. The twins also celebrated their 2 month birthday, how does it go by so quick? They're quickly outgrowing paddington!

Awake time
The twins seem to be getting into a little bit of an eat, awake, sleep pattern the last few days! They grow up so quickly! Different as always, Heidi usually falls asleep easily on her own and Harrison almost invariably needs to be wrapped up in a swaddling blanket. Lately his routine is he then wakes himself up with a toot half an hour later and then needs heroic measures (wrap, bounce, give soother, smack bum rapidly, bounce more, play music, wrap again. Hold for 5 minutes to ensure fully asleep then gently put down. Immediate rage ensues, start over and repeat cycle.) Heidi usually wakes up once during this whole process and puts herself back to sleep before we come over. She has contentedly fallen asleep while I wrote this while rocking her wrapped, soothered brother; perfect example!

Up all night
Had a wonderful time in Toronto at Gregg and Teresas wedding. Bob and Gail babysat for the afternoon and evening, and luckily there was no excitement until after we'd gotten home. About 4 AM we had to evacuate after the fire alarm went off. A leak in the fitness centre prompted the alarm, we discovered, but only after everyone had exited down the stairs to the lobby (twins, Brendan, parents, grandparents and all). At least we were only on the 11th floor, the bride and groom had to interior their night hoofing it down 21 flights. Never a dull moment!
